New Caledonia is getting three new additions to Marriott’s portfolio, with each resort showing off a different side of the South Pacific territory.
Marriott says Le Domaine Déva, Le Domaine Oro and Le Domaine Nouméa have joined its Series by Marriott collection. It marks the brand’s first move into the South Pacific, with all three properties keeping their existing Le Domaine du Pacifique identities.
For a stay surrounded by nature, Le Domaine Déva sits within the 7,800-hectare Déva Domain reserve in Bourail. Its suites and bungalows take cues from Kanak architecture, with direct beach access, an infinity pool, spa and Golf de Déva nearby.
The surrounding reserve gives guests plenty of ways to spend time outdoors. It has 158km of marked hiking and cycling trails, along with horseback riding, and sits beside a UNESCO World Heritage-listed lagoon and barrier reef.

Le Domaine Oro offers something much quieter on the Isle of Pines. The 48-room resort includes 28 bungalow suites and sits on Oro Bay, surrounded by white sand, coconut groves and the island’s famous pine trees. Guests can use canoes, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment, or simply spend time around the infinity pool.
AdvertisementCity life is closer at Le Domaine Nouméa, which overlooks Anse Vata Bay in New Caledonia’s capital. It has 207 rooms, including 34 suites, along with direct beach access, an outdoor pool and the Deep Nature Spa. The Grand Casino is next door, and Anse Vata Beach is also within easy reach.
All three resorts now take part in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn points during their stays and use the wider programme benefits.
The appeal here is that the three properties do not offer the same version of New Caledonia. One puts you deep in nature, another slows things down on an island, and the third keeps you close to the restaurants and energy of Nouméa.
