Ferrari is sold out through 2027

Ferrari’s order books are now full through the end of 2027, meaning customers placing fresh orders could be waiting until at least 2028 for their cars. The company confirmed  the backlog in its official second-quarter 2026 results. CEO Benedetto Vigna said demand remained healthy in every region, adding that the company’s order book “entirely covers 2027.”

Interest in the Prancing Horse remains strong even as Ferrari updates much of its range. Newer models such as the Amalfi, 849 Testarossa and 296 Speciale family are entering production, while the 296 GTS, Roma Spider and SF90 XX models are being phased out.

Deliveries of the F80 flagship are also increasing, supporting Ferrari’s earnings despite a slight decline in the number of cars shipped. The company delivered 3,366 vehicles during the second quarter, 128 fewer than during the same period last year. First-half deliveries also fell by 285 units to 6,802.

The decline is part of Ferrari’s tightly controlled production strategy, which prioritises exclusivity and profitability over chasing higher sales volumes. Revenue still rose by 8% to €1.94 billion during the quarter, while EBITDA increased by 7% to €755 million.

Buyers are also spending more on personalisation, from special paint finishes to bespoke cabin details. Strong demand for those options and a profitable mix of cars led Ferrari to raise its financial guidance for the full year.

Ferrari now expects 2026 revenue of around €7.6 billion, up from its previous forecast of about €7.5 billion. It also lifted its operating profit forecast to at least €2.26 billion.

The long waiting list arrives as Ferrari expands beyond its traditional sports cars. The Purosangue has given the company a four-door model, while the electric Luce adds a completely new type of Ferrari to the range.

Neither move appears to have discouraged buyers. Ferrari says it now has the most complete line-up in its history, and with every production slot through 2027 already spoken for, plenty of customers seem willing to wait.
