Whitegates has strengthened its presence in West Yorkshire through the acquisition of independent estate agency Harvey & Ryall, continuing a programme of regional expansion by franchise owners Chan and Kashmir Khangura.
The deal sees Harvey & Ryall’s property portfolio transfer to Whitegates Huddersfield, ensuring continuity for vendors, landlords, buyers and tenants while giving clients access to the wider resources of the Whitegates network.
Harvey & Ryall was founded and operated by Keon and Emma Ryall, who said they selected Whitegates to take over the business due to its reputation for customer service and its experience integrating independent agencies.
Ryall says: “After careful consideration, we wanted to ensure our clients and portfolio would be looked after by a business that shares our values and commitment to customer service.
“Chan and Kashmir have demonstrated an impressive track record of successfully integrating independent agencies while continuing to deliver a personal service.”
Sustainable growthChan Khangura, Managing Director of Whitegates Huddersfield, Brighouse, Mirfield and Pontefract, adds: “Harvey & Ryall has built an excellent reputation within the local market, and Keon and Emma have developed strong, long-standing relationships with their clients.
“We are delighted they have chosen Whitegates to continue the next chapter for the business. Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining the personal service their customers value. This acquisition further strengthens our presence across the region and supports our continued ambition for sustainable growth.”
The acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic investments by Chan and Kashmir, who have operated Whitegates franchises since 2012 and expanded through a combination of organic growth and bolt-on acquisitions.
Rob Smith, Group Managing Director of The Property Franchise Group, said the latest deal demonstrated the pair’s “clear, long-term acquisition strategy” and their ability to successfully integrate local businesses while maintaining strong customer relationships.
