Clark battled foul trouble throughout the game and finished with six points and six assists in just 21 minutes while shooting 1-for-7 from the field.
Her minutes distribution has been heavily scrutinized by fans, with much of the criticism directed at head coach Stephanie White. Many have questioned the extended stretches Clark spent on the bench during the loss.

While the former Iowa star is known for her competitiveness and fiery demeanor, her frustration appeared to boil over during Saturday's game. Cameras caught Clark and White engaged in a heated exchange on the bench before White substituted Clark and inserted rookie Raven Johnson.

Clark was visibly upset in the moment — likely over the foul calls she was receiving — and White eventually appeared to put an end to the discussion.
Basketball legend Cheryl Miller weighed in on the viral interaction Sunday, suggesting the emotions of the moment simply spilled over.
“Right now, it’s frustration. And unfortunately, it’s boiling over, and it’s being seen,” Miller said. “It’s one thing to have it behind closed doors, but it’s another thing when it spills over, and when the coach has to basically say, ‘You know what Caitlin, enough is enough, this is too disruptive. In and out, take a seat.’”

White and Clark share the same goal — winning — so it's not surprising that their competitive spirits occasionally lead to tense moments. Both have proven to be excellent at what they do, but for the Indiana Fever, their recent level of play simply hasn't been good enough, especially after dropping back-to-back games.
Indiana will now get a few days to regroup, as it doesn't play again until Thursday when it faces a legitimate test against the Atlanta Dream.
