Two student letting agencies are expanding into the East Midlands and the North.

Sulets is expanding into Loughborough, while national student lettings agency Loc8me is stepping into York.

Sulets has built its reputation using partnerships with De Montfort University and University of Leicester and is now expanding into Loughborough.

“Our expansion into Loughborough is a natural next step for Sulets,” said Irving Hill, Chief Executive of Sulets (pictured right).

“By working closely with our university partners, we’re able to provide landlords with a dependable, hands-off service that maximises occupancy and protects their investment.”

Sulets also benefits from its unique charitable status with an exemption to the Renters’ Rights Act. It means student landlords can benefit from fixed term tenancies, as well as guaranteed rent payments and possession.

The Loughborough launch will give landlords access to Sulets’ full-service offering, including marketing, tenant sourcing, property management, and compliance support.

Loc8me locates to York

Meanwhile, national student lettings agency Loc8me has expanded its reach in the North of England, with new homes in York, the company’s seventh northern city.

Loc8me adds York to a growing northern network that already includes Newcastle, Durham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Hull, as the Midlands-founded business continues to grow across the region’s university markets.

The properties in York will be managed from the company’s regional office in Leeds, at a time when the competition in the city for high-quality student housing remains strong.

Loc8me will deliver its full property management service across York, home to more than 22,000 students, including tenancy management, maintenance coordination, compliance oversight and 24-hour tenant support.

Raffaele Russo, founder of Loc8me, said: “Students in York have very clear expectations about where and how they want to live.

“It is a city that values quality, consistency and trust and that aligns closely with how we’re looking to support those students.”
