The National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) has launched an updated Level 3 qualification in managing property and residential lettings ahead of the Renters’ Rights Act, which comes into force on 1 May.
The course is aimed at landlords, letting agents and property managers. Those who complete it can apply to use the post-nominal letters MNRLA.
The qualification also contributes 12 continuing professional development (CPD) points for those seeking NRLA accreditation, which is recognised by many local authorities and licensing bodies.
The course is available to complete remotely. It focuses on the regulations governing the private rented sector, practical management skills and the legal requirements landlords and agents must follow.
The NRLA said the update is intended to prepare property professionals for the forthcoming changes to rental law and provide a recognised standard for those operating in the sector.
Ben Beadle, chief executive at the NRLA, said: “This new qualification will equip all manner of property professionals with the tools to excel and provide a first-class experience for renters.
“With radical reforms a matter of weeks away, this qualification is for those who want to thrive and not just survive the Renters’ Rights Act.”
