New England Patriots sophomore quarterback Drake Maye is preparing for Super Bowl LX, but he has one more stop before Levi's Stadium next Sunday and a date with the Seattle Seahawks: The 15th annual NFL Honors.

On that night, Maye will find out if he was named either the league's MVP or the Offensive Player of the Year. There will be over a dozen awards handed out at the event, including a new prize for offensive linemen, the Protector of the Year.

In a change to the schedule, the Pro Bowl, now officially renamed the "Pro Bowl Games," will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. ET. A slew of the top players who did not make the Super Bowl will be in San Francisco playing an array of games, including accuracy competitions and flag football.

Two days later, on Thursday, Feb. 5, we will find out if Maye or his challenger, Los Angeles Rams veteran QB Matthew Stafford, will be awarded the top individual honor in the sport.

The NFL Honors will begin at 9 p.m. ET, hosted by actor John Hamm, emanating from the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. The red carpet pre-show will be held an hour earlier on the NFL Network.

Last year, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen narrowly beat out Baltimore Ravens signal-caller Lamar Jackson for the MVP award.

With either Maye or Stafford expected to win the award, it will be the 19th year in a row that the MVP has gone to a quarterback.

The last non-QB to win the award was San Diego Chargers legend LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006.

The last defensive player to be named MVP was another "L.T." in New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor, all the way back in 1986.
