The Knicks rode a 25-4 run that bridged the third and fourth quarters on Wednesday night to a 119-92 blowout of the host Toronto Raptors. Mikal Bridges scored 19 of his game-high 30 points in the third period, while OG Anunoby finished with 26 points and six steals, and Josh Hart went for 22 points. Karl-Anthony Towns pulled down a season-high 22 rebounds, and Tyler Kolek came off the bench for 10 assists.
Portland closed to within a point with 20.5 seconds remaining before the Washington Wizards closed out a 115-111 win at home on Tuesday night. Shaedon Sharpe led the Blazers with 31 points, with Deni Avdija finishing with 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Toumani Camara adding 16 points. Donovan Clingan went for 14 points and 20 boards as well.
New York won the first of the teams’ two meetings in Portland on Jan. 11. Jalen Brunson averages 27.6 points and 6.0 assists for the Knicks, with Towns putting up 20.2 points and an NBA-best 11.6 rebounds per game. Avdija paces the Trail Blazers with averages of 25.8 points and 6.8 assists, while Sharpe scores 21.8 points per game and Clingan posts 11.3 points and 11.2 boards a night.
